° 1 package (18.3 oz) fudge brownie mix
°1 bar (4 oz) German chocolate, finely chopped
°4 tablespoons. (1/2 stick) un-salted butter
°1 package (8 ounces) soft cream cheese
°2 c confectioners’ sugar
°1 tub (16 ounces) whipped cream, frozen and thawed
°Chocolate curls or small chocolate chips for garnish (optional)
Prepare the brownies and bake according to package directions. Removing from oven and allow to cool totally.
Microwave the German chocolate chunks along with the butter in a large microwave-safe bowl on high for 30 seconds. Stir, then melt for another 15 seconds. Stir until smooth and melted.
To the melted chocolate mixture, whisk together the cream cheese and confectioners’ sugar until combined. Fold in half (8 ounces) of the whipped cream.
Spread the French silk filling over the cooled brownies. Top with remaining whipped topping and garnish with chocolate curls, if using.
Place in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or until firm, before slicing into squares.
